Intes – Access Control System
The primary role of access control systems has traditionally been controlling access to openings, entry and exit points. But today, it is becoming more than just a door, a lock and a key. Not only does it include finding opportunities in all sorts of emerging technology, but it also involves managing a range of facility functions. Today, access control is a multi-dimensional environment that can solve a wide variety of organisational needs.
Being in Charge
Installing access control systems will ensure you are in charge of your buildings and that they are secure and only the right people can get in.
Door access system gives you all the control you want without any of the hassles of a lost key:
- Issuing a code, card or fob to every member of staff
- Each uniquely programmed to provide access only to where they are allowed
- Access can be limited according to selected times and days
- Reports showing times and location accessed
- If lost, you simply block that card, fob or code and issue another
Your building’s security is maintained. Your staff can get on with what you want them to do. The security and insurance risk is removed, as is the cost and time of replacing locks and issuing new keys to everyone.

Control Access across multiple buildings
Every building has infrastructure of several buildings such as libraries, leisure centres, laboratories. Access control systems could assist to manage all buildings from central location. Our system ensures that you can conveniently handle access from Building A to Building B or in a completely different area.
Access cards replaces physical keys
Physical keys are simply no more practical and are easy to duplicate and lose, exposing a school to potential security risk.
School Protection Out of Hours
Access control could be used to implement intruder alarms and CCTV to protect premises from burglary and vandalism during school hours. The access control system will track individual doors and provide ‘door forced’ alarm outputs. This can be used to create remote alarms with detailed incident information using methods such as text messaging and email notifications.
Facility Usage Monitoring
Facilities such as libraries and gymnasiums are also available for extracurricular activities, where it might be appropriate to track or limit the time that each user spends in different areas. Where access control is fitted for the entrances and exits, in addition to preventing unauthorised entry, the access control system can be used to track and limit how long each approved card holder spends in each area. If the specified time limit has been reached for a card holder, access may be disabled automatically, with the option of automatically reset and re-enable cards to their original access status on monthly or weekly basis.
Tracking Staff Members
The advantage of using a PC-based access control device is that it maintains a record of the use of access cards to reach each controlled area of the premises. Access control software may be designed to store a virtual layout of the premises in such a way that the use of an access card to pass through a specific door is documented and the card holder is identified as being in the area to which the door leads.
Turnstiles
In comparison to doors, turnstiles can restrict the number of people who may enter or exit each presented credential and regulate the direction of the passage. In order to enter via a turnstile, a person must first submit a valid credential and then access control system sends a signals to the barriers to open and allows one person to move through and instantly re-locks. The access control system allows turnstiles to operate in combination with doors, cameras and other security devices to ensure that only certain authorised individuals use the entry. This can provide valuable details, such as the name, time and place of each person entering or exiting the facility. The system shows live data used by management to monitor visitors, identify alarm locations and recognise possible security threats.
