Hikvision IVMS 4200 client software

We will show you how to remotely control you NVR and cameras using Hikvision IVMS 4200 client software.

Install the IVMS 4200 software

Go to Hikvision official website, navigate to Support ->Download-> VMS -> IVMS 4200 Series
Download the relevant version for you depending on your operating system
Install the software following the installation wizard
Once installed, create a new user login details -> we recommend using different users name and password then was used in your NVR basic setup

Open up IVMS 4200, under Control panel, go to Device management, this will open in a new tab, that has 3 windows- Device type, Device for Management and Online Devices.
In the main view, under Online devices, you should see your NVR (could have more if you are admin overseeing more sites.)
Device for Management click +Add, this will open a small window.
Nickname – name your NVR
Address – add the IP address of your NVR
User and password – use the same as you have used when you have activated your NVR, see the link. And click Add.
Now you should see your NVR
Under the Device for Management, click the Remote Configuration, you will see similar menu options as in the Main menu in your NVR.
